.

Hello! Thank you so much for reaching out! I believe that you are visiting my page for a reason. I hope that my page brings you comfort and you feel peace with each encounter with me. Some moments may be more challenging at times, but that is part of the therapy journey.

I am a Social Work Therapist. I started my career in 1997 as a big sister. I have worked in all areas including group homes, schools, and child welfare as a manager, at the Manitoba Youth Center. I have worked in the hospital system for 8 years and in 15 up north communities in Manitoba at various health centers and nursing stations. I have taught various workshops, and presentations, and ran various groups over the years.

I hold a BSW (Bachelor of Social Work Degree), and a diploma in child and youth counselling (Behavioural Focus with Honours 2001 from Red River College), I also completed several MSW masters in social work courses in 2019 in the management stream.

I offer supervision to various therapists, as well as provide consultation to various collateral’s. I work individually, and with families. I believe that when your child or youth comes in for therapy I also need to work with the family at times. Think of it as a mobile on a baby’s crib. If one piece is missing it will not circulate. I work from a family systems theory, solution-focused, and strength-based perspective. I am also trained in various modalities, CBT is one I use often.

Being a Metis woman and a parent I can empathize with various issues people face. I work from a genuine, perspective, and a culturally sensitive outlook. I am a Christian woman in my own personal life but I do work with people of all faiths and beliefs with no judgment or stigmatization.

I specialize in children and youth behavioural concerns. I have taught various workshops over the years that I have created, as well as written behaviour plans for families, schools, and daycares.

I have almost 3 degrees (7 years between college and University) and over 25 years of experience in the field in all roles, including Director roles.

In my spare time, I spent it with my now teenage son, and our two dogs Redd, and Oliver (Oliver could use a behaviour plan himself)! I am an avid nature seeker and believe that a dose of sunlight and nature can help anyone at any point.

I am available for day appointments, some evening and some weekend appointments. I also offer online therapy.

I look forward to assisting you on your Journey.
